Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions addressing speech, language, voice, fluency, and other communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for student success
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress and program effectiveness
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert insights and recommendations for student support plans
- Conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Texas SLP license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Clearances: Current TB test and background check as required by local and state regulations
- Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in a school setting preferred
